Understand how an operating system works by studying two examples represent the most common systems.

- Know how to perform simple administration tasks on Linux and Windows

This course complements the L3.TC.UE4.TICR module by introducing the basic concepts of operating system

* Basics of operating systems (process notions, threads, scheduling, interprocess communication, synchronization, memory management)
* Windows Part
- Introduction
- Manage Users and Groups
- File systems (NTFS rights, network shares)
- Network Services, presenting the standard protocols used by Active Directory
- Active Directory Overview (terminology, role of domain controllers, ...)
- Concept Group Policy
* Unix / Linux part
- Introduction / linux features
- Command interpreter (bash) wildcards, regular expressions, commands
- File systems (access rights)
- Shell script programming
