Training objectives
In the end, students must be able to define and size correctly regulation parameters of a given regulation loop commonly used in energy engineering applications.
Learning objectives
- learn how to characterize an industrial process needing regulation
- define a correct regulation loop
- determine regulation parameters to optimize the process
Learning context
This course follows a previous theoretical course about Regulation & Automation. It aims at providing technological knowledge about regulation and at giving typical industrial examples of application.
Course materials
- Printed lecture note
- Session of practical work in group
Prerequisites
fundamentals of automation
Course content
I- Standard knowledge about regulation
II- Overview of the main sensors and actuators used in energy engineering
III- Analytical case studies
IV- Practical works on regulation parameters
